Starwood Hotels & Resorts opens Global Sales Office Benelux in the Netherlands

AMSTERDAM, March 2011 - As from March 1st, Starwood Hotels & Resorts opens its first Global Sales Office in the Netherlands. This office has its focus on the Dutch market in close cooperation with the EAME headquarters in Brussels.

The opening of a Global Sales Office in the Benelux has been on the list for a long time and Starwood Hotels & Resorts is therefore proud of this pleasant development. Nancy Uitdewilligen, who joined Starwood the Netherlands as Director of Sales, will start as Director of Business Developent on March 1st. Here she will function as a contact person for the companies in the Benelux who book Starwood worldwide for corporate travel, meetings and incentives.

Nancy says to be ready for this new challenge: "Opening a Global Sales Office in the Netherlands has long been a wish of Starwood which finally comes out. There are many businesses in the Benelux that are already loyal to our hotels, but whom did not had a local contact person in the past. Setting up a Global Sales Office Benelux in the Netherlands is a very nice challenge in which all my knowledge and experience is of good use. I look forward to not only represent our hotels in the Netherlands, but also all our other hotels around the world."

Nancy has a long history within Starwood Hotels & Resorts. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Hotel Management School of Maastricht in 1998, Nancy joined Starwood Hotels the Netherlands. She then transferred from Events to Front Office where she quickly developed her passion for sales and again transferred to Director of Sales. Her enthusiasm and years of experience in sales and operations make Nancy an asset for the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Global Sales division.
