Monday November 3rd, the gracious and well known Hotel Des Indes in The Hague has again been awarded with a very prestigious award at the Night of GaultMillau in Amsterdam.

During this evening, the hotel was rewarded for her impeccable and incomparable service, her unique & authentic expression in combination with warmth & design created by the famous Interior Designer Jacques Garcia.

Earlier the hotel already received two special awards: starting with Best Hotel Concept, followed by the Dutch Hotel Award, both in 2006. Now, two years later, Hotel Des Indes can be very proud with its newest award.

What is GaultMillau? 

The GaultMillau Proefschrift Restaurant and Hotel guide of The Netherlands is a yearly published guide. The guide is a dissertation of restaurants and hotels. Hotel Des Indes is awarded for the GaultMillau guide 2009. With the last two editions, the guide became ‘Best Sold International Restaurant- en Hotelguide of The Netherlands'. Before pressing edition 2009 already 5000 copies were sold. The 2009 edition is now available in several book trades and other stores.

GaultMillau strives to be independent, objective and professional. Therefore restaurant inspections can only be done by people with specific knowledge. Because of the fast changing market all restaurants and hotels have been visited several times. Of course every visit is a snapshot. More snapshots give a better impression of level, style and development than one. After anonymous visits by one of the twenty international and professional inspectors, 521 restaurants and 200 hotels were selected for the new guide. These companies can be seen as the best of their kind in The Netherlands. Only the best restaurants and hotels are be shown in the guide.
