High Tea

The Des Indes High Tea is not only renowned in The Hague circles, but also far beyond the city limits. The High Tea is a moment of pure indulgence which is perfectly designed to share with family and friends or to celebrate a special occasion. Combined with the opulent decor of the Lounge, the stunning presentation with beautifully filled tiered platter stands and the silver tea set, provide a royal touch.

The High Tea consists of four courses. The tiered platter stands are filled with sweet delicacies and savory tidbits from our own pastry chef. Amuses, luxurious sandwiches, freshly baked scones, bonbons and pastries combined with different types of tea... Mouthwatering! Our High Tea is served daily at 14.00 hours and lasts about 2,5 hours. You can make a reservation for the weekend or from monday to friday.

Live Music

On Saturday the lounge is filled by the delightful sounds of René ten Cate’s masterful piano playing, as he brings the most wonderful compositions to life. On Sundays, when harpist Carla Bos performs, her instrumental virtuosity draws magical sounds from one of the nine harps from her own collection.

Des Indes Signature Tea

Since 1976 the Dutch team of ‘Teaculture’ have travelled to China, India, Sri Lanka and Japan to select the best quality of tea leaves. For Hotel Des Indes they created 3 unique signature blends: black, green and white. Tea lovers appreciate the long tea tradition in Hotel Des Indes and the care with which our tea is prepared with low mineral water and presented on a tray with a personal timer.
