THE LEGACY OF ANNA PAVLOVA

Pavlova passed away in 1931 at Hotel Des Indes, shortly after her arrival for her farewell tour through the Netherlands. Her frequent stays at the hotel and her international fame made her an iconic figure in the house’s history. In the new lounge, her presence is subtly felt in refined details, graceful lines, and an atmosphere of timeless poise, as if Pavlova’s dance still gently lingers in the room.

THE SPIRIT OF MADAME POMMERY

Madame Pommery is also honored in this Champagne Room. At a time when female leadership was rare, she transformed the world of champagne with her forward-thinking vision and the introduction of brut champagne. Her strength, elegance, and social engagement form a natural counterpart to Pavlova’s artistic resilience.

HISTORY THAT CONTINUES TO SPEAK

The Anna Pavlova Lounge embraces both tradition and modernity. A special feature is the original cigar vault, which has been fully preserved. This historical vault has now found a new purpose as a Wall of Fame, celebrating remarkable guests who — like Pavlova — share a lasting connection with Hotel Des Indes.
